SIL (Safety Integrity Level) certification - Safety Integrity Level certification
SIL certification is a third-party evalsuation, verification, and certification of the safety integrity level (SIL) or performance level (PL) of safety equipment based on standards such as IEC 61508 (GB/T 20438), IEC 61511 (GB/T 21109), IEC 61513, IEC 13849-1, IEC 62061, and IEC 61800-5-2. Functional safety certification is often referred to as SIL certification. Functional safety certification mainly involves document management (FSM) evalsuation for the development process of safety equipment, hardware reliability calculation and evalsuation, software evalsuation, environmental testing, EMC electromagnetic compatibility testing, and other contents.
The SIL technical standard was first issued and formulated by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), and is implemented under the jurisdiction of IEC/TC65. SIL (Safety Integrity Level) - Safety Integrity Level. SIL certification is divided into four levels, SIL1、SIL2、SIL3、SIL4， This includes two levels: product and system. Among them, SIL4 has the highest requirements
Basic process of SIL certification
1. The customer provides product information (product manual) and SIL level to Zhongnuo Testing for preliminary evalsuation and quotation
2. The customer accepts the quotation,SIL certificationProject Confirmation
3Zhongnuo TestingAssign engineers to the factory to assist in improving product drawing design to meet SIL level requirements
4. Make samples based on the improved drawings and commission Zhongnuo Testing Laboratory to conduct testing
5. After passing the test, issue a Functional Safety Report (FSA Report)
6. On site evalsuation
7. Qualified review and issuance of SIL certificate
